Your retaining wall is only as good as the ground it sits on. We coordinate soil testing and geotechnical reporting so the design matches your site's actual conditions.
Soil type and behaviour directly determine footing size, wall type suitability and drainage design. Reactive clay, sandy soils, rock and fill sites each behave differently under load — a design that ignores this is a common cause of retaining wall failure. For taller walls, multi-tiered sites, or sites with known ground issues, a geotechnical report is often required (and is good practice even when not strictly required).
We work with geotechnical engineers and testing providers to get the right information for your design — you don't need to find and manage this yourself.
Confirming the soil classification (e.g. reactive clay class, sand, rock) relevant to your design.
Arranging site testing where a formal geotechnical report is required.
If you already have a geotechnical report, we incorporate it directly into your wall design.
Translating soil data into footing sizes, drainage specification and wall type recommendations.
Tell us about your site and wall height — we'll advise whether it's needed.
